Dont we just love the romance films that show a bad guy husband or a bad gal wife that’s failing to show love and then they get what “they deserve?” You start to hate the human being, I mean you start to hate the character of the mean old spouse as the story develops.

Then when the victim of the marriage goes off and out of “nowhere” finds love in another, where the other person is treating them like an angel, all of a sudden, just like that you find yourself rooting for a Ungodly Affair!

IT AIN’T RIGHT! But Hollywood sure knows how to write those stories to desensitize us don’t they?  Leviticus 20:10 says “‘If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife —with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.”

I wonder how many people would consider and act on infidelity if it were a crime like it was in biblical times? I mean think about it, if you master mind a plot to rob a bank and would have money for life, never having to work again, you’d consider the life in prison and delete the idea from your brain. (Right?) As you would cheating on your mate if it meant DEATH. Now of course there are those that would still do it, the same ones that are locked up right now and on death row for committing the crimes they knew could landed them there. But it would be far less broken marriages and broken homes if we were to implement more of the old testament into our Free American Ways.

{Side Note} Take some time and read the old testament. Just because all of the laws are not to be followed in our lives like sacrificing animals and things of that nature, there is still a lot you can get from it. After all, God did give us this great book for leading and guiding ours lives, Old testament and New. ~I’m currently in awe of Leviticus 18.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to leave any comments.
