boyfriend cheatI HAVE A RELATIONSHIP QUESTION AND I’M N NEED OF SOME ADVICE. ME AND MY GUY ARE BOTH CHRISTIANS AND I’M DOING MY BEST TO HONOR GOD IN EVERYTHING I DO AND SAY, AND I NO LONGER HAVE THE TENDENCY OF DOING THINGS OF THIS WORLD LIKE I USED TO..(I.E. SMOKING WEED, CURSING, ETC.) AND MY GUY HAS THE HABIT OF SMOKING WEED, AND HE STILL CURSES (WHICH BOTHERS ME A LOT IN OUR RELATIONSHIP). HE HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR ALL THE TIME I’VE KNOWN HIM. SO MY QUESTION IS, SHOULD I STILL STAY WITH HIM/ OR AM I IN AN UNEQUALLY YOKED RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE HE DOES THESE THINGS? CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME HELP WITH THIS A.S.A.P.?

Hello, I’d be glad to help and offer you some advice! First, I want you to know that being unequally yoked has less to do with both of your struggles and strong-holds and more to do with where your heart is in your relationship with God.  If he is saved and loves the Lord, his actions will follow, but sometimes not all at once. I know Christians that struggled with cigarette smoking, cussing, masturbation, pornography, and so on. The question you should ask him and yourself is does he desire to change? Does he want to run from sin and never look back, because that does look like something. Has he made a true commitment to God by reading and praying? You would have to ask God to reveal what you should do. He may be answering you right now? But because I don’t know your boyfriend personally, I would not be able to tell if he is serious about his relationship with God. Only you can see that. God will answer you, as far as if this guy should be your husband, but you must listen and pay attention to His voice. I hope this helps.
